SPED
The whole goal of working with our SPED boys and girls is to give them fun physical experiences they might not normally get in a larger, integrated classroom setting.
Aliens
Was simply the building of weird creatures using foam blocks, sticks, toilet paper tubes, and the like, covering parts of them with foam spray, painting them, adding eyes and clothing made of fabric scraps and giving them a name.
We displayed them in front of a 10’ long planetary mural we painted.
Body Draw
Inspired by artist Tony Orrico who creates large drawings on paper. Though his are much more mathematically based than ours what lured the boys in was the total body movement combined with the challenge of making symmetrical moves with both hands.
